Famous Rabbi

We went to one of the most famous Synagogues of the world in Djerba.

We had to take off our shoes and my girlfriend had to put on a prayer shawl and me a kippah to enter the Synagogue. The famous Rabbi sits in the Synagogue of La ghriba all day and reads the Tanakh (Hebrew Bible) all day out loud.

Whilst he was reading, another Rabbi was reading too, but not at the same page. Really cool to hear them singing all those verses. The second Rabbi didn’t actually read it because he knew it out of heart, like every Rabbi. Logically when you read the same book a couple of times a day… He could even blow his nose and keep on reading!
